to add to all this, let me throw in another cost (optional).

I got my sump tiled with white tiles. This helps in cleaning the sump and also provides a clear view of when it is necessary to clean it. It cost me an additional 4k, but I am happy with the fact that I can see how clean or dirty the sump is.

I went for RCC. Yes tile cost is over and above the cost of the completed sump (that was already discussed by you all).

This is what i was able to calculate based on my research for my 8333 liters (4.6*8*8) sump. Mason are charging 2 Rs or 1.5 Rs for Apco block ( i took 2 Rs as both sides plastering they are asking for 2 Rs) and excavation 6 Rs.

in Brick we can negotiate to 1.5 Rs per litre ,then cost can come to 3 Rs per litre and if we can hire one mason on daily basis it can even come to 9500 Rs ,means around 2.5 Rs per litre. It all negotiations as these people easily can make 3000 Rs extra as they do give only 9500 Rs in total where they are charging us 12500 to 16000 Rs . in RCC as well we can reduce around 6000 Rs in mason work as there is no scope for reduction in labour as i haven't see any centering /bar bending guy coming down in price which would come around 9.5 Rs per litre.

Brick RCC(including barbending+gangmen etc)
mason 16662 16662 24710
excavation (4.6*8*8) 1619.2 8331.52
mesh 1000
material 9000 57000
water compound 800 800

Total 29081.2 84129

Per Litre 3.490721402 10.09588384
