8) If you are doing slab work during rainy seasons ask your gang men to do all fixing works the previous day and start work by max early morning 8 so that you finish work by 12. As we all know it rains in Bangalore post 2-3 o clock it always gives some time to complete slab work. I would also recommend others to check for weather forecast, but our weather forecast isn't the most accurate one. So planning is utmost required.
9) Always be careful on chain stair case and their landings. It will confuse even the most skilled mestri. Double check on the height and width before cementing. Check it multiple times and ensure landing is correct.

2) If space is not much concern always avoid 4 inch bricks. Go for 6 inch bricks even for internal Walls.
Great to hear about thr peogress.
Could you please share more on reason for recommending thicker walls- even the internal ones?
I have planned for 6 inches external and 4 inches internal walls.

4 inch walls are not strong. To make them strong a concrete layer is added at 3.5 feet. However when centring guys started using it to put boards for lintel , we could see the 4 inch wall literally vibrates. We had used good quality bricks and centring guys were facing troubles in drilling even with new nails. When we discussed this with them, they shared their experiences where some 4 inch bricks have even broken where wall width is very less. Luckily we had did good curing and wall vibration was only issue. Even though after lintel wall gets additional.re enforcement ,. The 4 inch wall did not instill any confidence in us.

So we decided to use it only in ground floor where space was optimized due to cramping both parking area and 2bhk house.

Btw why do you want to go for 6 inch external walls? What would be your pillar width ? 6 inch pillars strength is questionable. Just check few construction sites and then come to decision.

Here is my reason for using 6" block for external walls and 4" for internal walls.
Based on speaking to few people and reading here, I felt one of the important thing is to not overdo with design of the house. And staying with 6" external wall was something that many recommended. I was tempted to think of 8" wall.
For 4" inner walls, the reason was the its purpose. I believe the inner walls are doing nothing than separting internal spaces. And for that, I thoght 4" wall, which is used by many, could be good.

Just to add a point, no contractor will ever encourage 8 inch bricks. It's because they are heavy. Around 42-45 kgs and it is a tough task for labourers and gaare people to lift it and work it.

Secondly 6 inch brick is not the problem, 6 inch pillar is.if you go for higher width pillar then you have pillar wall gaps which don't go well with aesthetics.

Call is yours. Check out sites with 8 inch bricks before taking call.

RashmiL- sincerely appreciate your details. been very helpful in finalizing some of our thoughts. Our column is 8", which will leave 2" offset. Some of the corners may not look clean. but we did not want to compromise on column width. Had plan for 9". However 3" would have been too much offset.
