Brick Bond - for non-load-bearing walls

Hi,

I saw several posts/articles showing English bond is better. But I've two questions:

1. Is this applicable even for framed structure - non-load bearing walls? Is that useful at all?
2. I see regularly bricks are placed horizontally and just avoid vertical alignment, what is this brick bond called?
3. If the answer to above question is "Strecher bond" - I saw it's not good if the wall thickness is more than half length of brick. I'm constructing my house with 9inch wall. So need to know if this English bond - will help - given non-load-bearing wall and 9inch thickness wall...

For frame structure IMHO there is no load so bond doesn't matter much.

As you are doing exposed brickwork just for anesthetics you can go for any kind of masonry depending on looks you want.
