Hi,
Can someone please tell what should be cement sand ratio in mortar for exposed red brick work.
Architect and contractor is suggesting 1:6 is this correct ?

Hi,
You can use cement mortar 1:4 or 1:5 based on the wall thickness, if it is exposed masonry clean the joints on same day. latter you can use CM 1: 1 (Cement one part, Fine sand one part) for pointing, use pointing tool for the neat and clean job.
