Lost cost good quality construction - contacts of Architects

Post by kmainkar »

Dear all

We have a 30x40 plot in Mysore. We plant to start the construction in the next two monhts. We are exploring option for low cost, good quality construction (but it should be innovative or hatke) with unique features. Can any of you give me contacts of architects or designers who can do that for us. Thanks

Check out http://bsb-architects.com/

I have not used their services, so not sure as about the cost or quality of their work. They seem to do some non-traditional houses, hence the suggestion. I am constructing my own house without the use of an architect as I did not find anyone like minded.

One other Architect I spoke to was R L Kumar of Center for Vernacular Architecture. I did not go with them as they do not many completed projects in Mysore and expressed difficulty in getting skilled laborers for the kind of work they do. They did promise me that their cost is lower than the traditional construction. You can check them out at http://www.vernarch.com/

Hi,Keerthana
Are you looking for low cost housing or eco friendly .Eco friendly is not a low cost housing ,but then it is cheaper than a regular housing.
Remember one thing that eco friendly home needs more maintenance than a regular one, like say exposed brick work.
