Partitioning the house - suggestions please!

Hi,

Task: Divide one 3BHK duplex house into two houses (2BHK & 1 BHK).

I want to divide my duplex house of around 2600 sqft into two houses so that one portion can be rented out. Logically it is easy because all I need to do is to create is an L - shaped partition of size 14' X 10' in the first floor.

Now, I have no clue on how to create this partition in an already finished house with out damaging the flooring. The partition has to be strong and sturdy since it is dividing two houses. What is the best method to accomplish this?

If it is a straight line, you can use sturdy cement boards from reputed brands.
