possession certificate in case of labor contract

Hi,
I got my house constructed using a mason as labor contractor.
Now, I have moved into my house and my firm is asking for possession certificate from builder as proof for IT returns.
My mason is not having any registered firm where i can obtain a possession certificate.
Whats the best way / alternate way for getting a possession certificate?

Hi ,
You can submit your Bescom and Bwssb connection certificates along with labor payment receipts as proof for IT returns. There is no need of registered firm or a contractor. Possession certificate is generally done in case of builder projects like apartments or villa projects. Own constructed homes don't have any thing like possession certificate. A self declaration letter can also be added along with bescom and bwssb certificates.
A letter from COA registered architect is a legally valued certificate that can be used for IT, Bank etc.

Do you have a completion Certificate issued by the authorities? You can obtain this only if you have a legally approved site, Plan, and constructed mostly in accordance with the approved plan. A small deviation is ok with a penalty.

I have BESCOM connection, BWSSB is out of Q since it doesnt have Kaveri water. Its a A khata property, BBMP approved plan and some deviations as per plan.
I think , its best to have a self declaration possession letter with BESCOM connection attached.
