Need suggestion

My kitchen height has become 3 feet (36cm) finding it difficult for ladies to work. I need to increase the base ground level they are standing and suggestion needs on that from you all.

1 . I can increase the floor height laying granite or having cement flooring. Is this good option?
2. I can have the thick mat on the floor couple of layers to increase the height. Is any suitable mat for around 3-inch height available? Where to buy from?
