Advice on Plumbing / Electrical / Wood Work

Post by riturajmnit »

Hi folks,

Structure of my house is pretty much complete and it was Item rate contract, due to delay, I had taken off Plumbing, electrical and wood work from contractor scope.
I have spoken to few vendors and following are rate quoted:

1> Wood Work:
Labour : 175 (Shutter) + 35 (Frame) (Psft rates)
Except Main Door, rest doors are Plywood with Veneer on both sides.

Q> Is this rate justified for flush door work ? This includes - Fixing Veneer + Poilishing + Fixing Door
Polish rate is though additionat @75 psft

2> Plumbing:
Been quoted 12k per bathroom for concealed Tank work, does this include fixing of pipes + labour work for earth digging ? I mean is it like for 4 Bathrooms - 48000 should be end to end cost to me ?

3> Electrical:
45K for 3000 Sqft Area (Should it include all chipping and stuff)

Just wanted your expert opionion on these quotes and what all work should be included as part of it.

Regards

Plumbing labour rate is based on number of bathroom - 10000 for non wallmount bathrooms and 12000 for wallmount.
it includes fixing, supporting kitchen till the the road, digging inside your site will be included for chambers however
road side digging is extra.

Electrical - 1750/sqft labour it includes electrical work during the structure.

Thanks venky sir.
This helped a lot.

So ideally for plumber, i shouldnt pay anyting extra for stuff done inside my plot.
For electrician also, he should get his own labour for chipping in this cost.

please correct me if wrong.
