GAS/CYCLINDER CONNECTION.....

Hi Friends,
Here is the scenario of the building: That ground floor is stilt parking (parking with space for lift and staircase) and first floor 2 bhk home and second floor one bedroom two homes. Up to now, we have built this much. Later stage we will build duplex house on third and fourth floor.
My question is :
1. How is the placing of Gas Cylinders done ? Is it safe to have them on the parking area or can it be placed in balcony region of kitchen (Utility area).
Please give some inputs.
Which place is more suitable for placing the cyclinders? If you know Gas cylinder and piping installer please give his phone number.

Generally its better to keep the cylinders outside the kitchen. Not sure if it makes sense to keep it in stilt parking space.

I have spoken to this vendor but not got pipelining done yet as we are still couple of months away from that.

Thanks for the inputs.
I got the below reference from justdial. I spoke with him just now. He says most of the new homes which are built nowadays prefer to keep it in parking area/common area.
I am confused at present. Will check up with the reference from the link.

I would prefer to have the gas cylinders to be in the parking area for these reasons
1. Safety. Given that there are 4 houses planned and there will be 4 cylinders actively operating.
2. Easy for the Gas refilling. The gas company person need not come up. This is also a safety option.
3. There are safety devices like GasSafe when connected to the gas cylinder switches off supply to the Gas stove in case of a leak in the pipeline.

I was thinking of two issues for placing cylinders in stilt floor:
1. security concern - these days thieves are stealing metal sump tank covers also!
2. gas pressure drop with distance to higher floors

May be better to check some place where it is installed before concluding. If #2 is not such a big issue I can also think of placing in GF and save some money on not having a separate metal staircase as currently planned.

I agree that higher floors result in gas pressure drop. In my house gas piping has provision to keep in both G.F (Below staircase) and first floor kitchen balcony. Stove functions better with cylinder placed near kitchen balcony.

When I spoke to the installer. He said there is no drop in gas pressure.
I think if someone has installed in the ground floor, their comments/suggestions will be great help.

Is this safe to keep filled Gas cylinder (spare) in the balcony? i have enclosed my balcony with MS grill and which will have direct sun light/rain...covering the cylinder by some cloths?

We have kept the cylinder in Basement Garrage and our Kitchen is in the GF, it is working fine, no issues, no difference

I dont think there would be an issue with drop in Pressure with LPG. Btw, how are the vendors quoting for the gas pipeline? Running feet? and prices please?
