rock excavation during foundation

greetings

We have just completed excavation for basement for my house . we found soft rock here and there while excavation ; Now we are planning for footings excavation. The existing excavating contractor is quoting huge price , predicting that rock may be found / rock excvation is involved ; Can any one suggest footing excavation contractors including rock cutting ( if found) for a reasonable price; My site is near to sunkadhakatte ,magadi road ; thanks for your help

We got this done for our site too. The rock was not just soft for us.

The compressor costs around 3500 per day for hire. You can take lump sum quote from them. Hiring them for daily basis would be disastrous as they can take you for a ride!

Even we faced the same issue, We got rock for 10 footings out of 12. Spoke to one of the contractor and fixed Rs.6500 per footing.
