Hi all,
We have started our house construction, thanks for all for valuable input every time. Request everybody to continue your support. Now I need some inputs on Sump construction. Size is 8'9"x9'5"x4'6" total 10500 lit. Attached file shows soil type and side walls.
Now question is - Which one is better red brick with 9" wall or RCC. Contractor suggesting to go with red brick and he ensured he will provide mesh and water proofing. But i read in some topics that RCC is best option, so now we are confused. We gave item rate contract and cost is not issue now, as it includes RCC in quotation for which he quoted, but now he is telling joints in RCC will not be proper for tanks and he feels brick will nbe best option.
Regarding site, at water tank locations they dug upto 5' and found rocky type strata and hard soil, side walls also look hard soil (not loose or dumped one). Waiting for your inputs as need to decide by tomorrow.
Regards
Manju
