Efficiently use Cauvery & bore well simultaneously for talki

Post by avinash46 »

Hi
I am constructing a house on 30/40 site in JP Nagar 7th phase. we got 2.5 inch bore well water at 900 feet and also have cauvery water available in the area. we got a 6.5K Liter sump for cauvery connection constructed & my plan is to get two 1.5k Liter OHT, one for cauvery and the other for bore well. but my wifey insists that she wants to use cauvery water in the kitchen and for talking bath. i have 4 bathrooms comming up.
i am confused on:

1) how to Efficiently use Cauvery & bore well simultaneously??

2) should i have 2 separate plumbing lines done for cauvery and bore well?

3) should i just use borwell only when cauvery is not sufficient ?

4) what happens if dont use borewell water regularly ?

5) can i use borwell for EWC flushing only and for washing car ETC by making separate plumbing lines?

any other suggestions are totally welcome

Thanks

Hi Avinash,

Have two tanks of 1000lts each connected by a valve, provide one for kitchen and another for bathroom.
The design can further improved if you have space to keep 3 tanks of 750lts.

First tank can be connected to Kitchen which has cauvery OHT, this will protect TAP from erosion that happens
over a period of time due to salts in borewater.

Second tank from cauvery can be connected to solar system, bath faucets for water, you will not have hair fall due to water change.

The third tank can be used for Cleaning, WC, fulshing etc.

First test the borewell water for its purity and other chemical contents. Also get the reference for the kaveri water.

Once you have the reports for both the water samples, Compare them in terms of useful parameters and then decide how to go ahead
with segregating the Kaveri and Borewell water for various usage.

If cost is not a factor to consider, going for separate plumbing lines will help you to achieve it. Yes, bore well water needs to be used so that pump doesn't go into idle for long time and water is not stagnant. So the decision is totally yours...
