Pooja room placement inside the SW bedroom is a compromise of design. Similarly the seating arrangement of living room may not work out properly.

Better to discuss with your Architect/Engineer/Designer about keeping the pooja door towards north, facing the dining. However, you need to request them to locate atleast a 5-seater sitting arrangement for living room which is mutually agreeable to you and them.

Hi perumalsamy E,

following are my observations,

1. you have 3' 9" (east side)as passage and 3' 3" (South Side) for a small site. instead make it 3' or 3'3" and remaining , you can increase all room sizes, especially bedroom. (8' 0" X 9' 9"). if u put a cot (queen size) will take 5' 6" width and 3' for pooja, it will be cramped and not much roaming space.

2. kitchen-- make it 8' instead 8' 3" and have loft fully instead partially as shown, so that u can store more .
Have kitchen utility, u have 3'3". you can use for cleaning utensils, washing machine etc. move the sink in kitchen from present to next to kitchen utility door, In this way, you can reduce pipe length, usage will be easier for your wife / mother.

3. shift your pooja from bedroom to present kitchen sink (kitchen --north--east). if u don't like pooja next to kitchen, have a partition wall. In this case, u need to shift your hall window a bit.

4. Stairs--6' is enough for small site.

Dear mcneha,
Thanks for your suggestions. I am planing to place Pooja room near to SOUTH-WEST corner with the dimension of 6x4 in west side wall (Just placing shelf). 4 seat sitting arrangement is possible at hall near to east facing window.

Dear ravindra kumar hg,
Thanks for your suggestions. As you said, I could not increase the south side 3'3" since it was used as elevation. It has already done during ground floor construction. So, with this small site, I could not utilize the as said side. Then, It is simply good to make kitchen 8" (Thanks). Considering vastu, Pooja room should be in NORTH-EAST (or) SOUTH-WEST. It is possible to fix shelf in south-west direction. Then,

The path is 3'9" which is very small. Also in rainy season, front door can be easily damaged. I do not know how to protect it (and) where to change the front door. If I change to North direction, I am not able to construct 16x16 Hall. (But, I prefer 16x16 for hall). Also, for bedroom 11'3"X16'0" I am planning to fix A.C. but I do not know the exact place for A.C. Please suggest an idea for this...?

Once again thanks for mcneha & ravindra kumar hg
