Omega Doors, any experience?

Post by aries31 »

Hi All,

I have asked & received a quotation from Omega Doors for steel and FRP doors. The rates look OK, the people are responsive & from the website the products looks good too.

Does anyone on the forum have any experience with these people? Is the build quality & delivery good?

I was supposed to visit them but they were closed yesterday.

Hi i had been there today @ Omega doors. But they have very few selection.
Only 2 models were there for display. Steel and PVC coated so that its not shiny and do look very much like good. Not like shiny steel doors.
Only draw back is when we have scratches, will be difficult to paint.
Me too looking for multi locking steel doors. Heard its avaialbe near shivajinagar. Please let me know if you come to know about it.

I had visited the office (near kengeri) some time back. The owner took me to his "factory" too.

He had an all steel door imported from malaysia with locks on all sides of the door activated by just one key. Though the door was really good, I did not buy since we will not get any access to repairs etc.

The fibre doors look OK though. I am considering buying all steel doors from Shakti Metdoors.

I think the multi locking steel doors are completely imported. All of them come from CHINA, with different people marketing it in their names.
I checked out this Shakti Met doors site. Have you been there? Are their steel doors same like other multi locking steel doors? any idea?

tja,

I am planning to visit Shakthi Metdoor sometime this week or next week. Their doors are not multilocking. They told me they use only godrej hardware ( I wanted Europa). I like the wood grain finish on the steel door so I can have just one door at the main entrance instead of the steel grill+teak wood adopted by everyone... Since it is factory made (CNC etc), I am hoping their workmanship will be far better than welder/carpenter.

Nice, Please let me know if you get any updates.
I also came to know about Madhu Industries, I called them, n they too deal with steel doors / UPVC windows etc. Planning to meet them this SAT.
If you get any updates on steel doors, please collect all details including cost / design if they provide multi locking doors too etc?

But this is very expensive. I think more expensive than a multi locking steel door. Any input on why thier doors are so costly? Is it because of the wood grian fininshing?

I checked out the doors @ madhu industries. Its @ gotigere. The door is looking really good with powder coated paint. But again its very costly close to 27K for a 3 X 7 door.
Please let me know if you find any one who deals with the multi locking steel door like omega / lalith doors. It looks like wood, locks better and @ 21K is cheaper too

I had bought a FRP door frame from Omega Doors. The frame started bending and losing its shape after it was installed to the wall. My carpenter told that door cannot be fixed onto the frame since it has lost its shape. I had to replace it with the normal wood frame. They use very low quality material. Please avoid Omega
