Need contact for structural engineer

Hello,
I am looking to consult a structural engineer regarding column strength and materials that can be used for the same. I am looking for the engineer to be able to listen to our requirements and then suggest options available along with approximate price estimate. Its not a one size fits all kind of project.
We have not hired an architect yet and might not do so.
If this question has been posted earlier, could you plz direct me to that.
Also, much appreciate if anyone can recommend based on their experience (of not using an architect), how to go about hiring a structural engineer on consultancy basis.

Check your PM for Phone number of structural engineer. He is based in nagarabhavi.

Structural Engineers charge on the basis of square feet. Max you can negotiate is Rs 3 per sq. ft. from what i know.

Do a background check on the structural engineer, experience and good feedback is most important here.
An experienced SE can save you lot of money through innovative ideas, amount of steel used etc.,
Otherway around, once structure is built and later you come to know of pitfalls, there is no quick fix or return.

Hi Folks
My Arch suggested a structural Engineer for 25000 (2500 sqft build up ) which means its 10/sqft is this too high considering he needs to make visits to the site and get the total estimation based on the structural inputs ? can you please help me with a structural guy in east blr (whitefield-KR puram area)
