1700 sqft is only the ground coverage and not the actual builtup area. Sorry if that was misleading. So your calculation of 88000 per square is incorrect. Total builtup area is 7500 sqft. Hence the foundation cost is around 20000 per square. This may be slighly on the higher side due to the soil condition and the depth of the foundation.
Can you share how much it costs for normal foundation per square?

Re: Construction cost - too high - need your help
Thanks for the clarification. I do not know how much a normal foundation per square would cost. I have built only one house so far (mine) and it costed me about 4.26 lacs for 1300 area coverage and 8000 liter sump. The foundation was 6 course for 50% and 5 course for another 50%. Footing was for 8 pillars, 4 of them are 12 inches by 12 inches and the rest are 9 inch by 9 inch. I do not know the footing size. This was about a year ago and the contractor I hired was very expensive. So I have paid much more than the market rate at that time. The house I have constructed has a Ground floor and first floor.

I am definately sure this is daylight robbery by the contractor. I am currently supplying the materials for my house construction like Sand, Jelly stones, ACC Cement, Indus Steel, Size stones myself and for 14 columns in a 60x40 plot, including 10000 lts sump has costed be around 4 lacs so far. (The sump is not complete yet and they are doing it).

Instead of the Final amount, ask for the detailed itemised Break-up of the Cost from your contractor.
That will help you to get vody comparison & advise from other contractors or any owners who is currently undertaking similar work.
For generic comparison, You can also refer with the initial itemised agreement details made with the contractor.
