Hi All,

Does anybody have a clue as to what is happening with KempeGowda layout. The nofication info was there for long time now.

Lastest I heard is

> BDA has finalized the compensation amount for farmers from 85 L to 1Cr per acre and most of the farmers are happy with this.
> BDA has proposed vertical development where in only apparments will be constructed and alloted to people. There wont be sites alloted to general public. Developed sites will be give only to farmers who did not agree to the compensation by means of all cash for their land. This proposal is still not approved by the government.

Will appreciate if someone has the latest.

I will definetly not be interseted in buying appartements from BDA. Hope BDA gets back to alloting sites.
Any other relevant information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi rahul2020,

BDA have already acquired the land by paying good compensation. BDA has already called a tender to start the leveling work and earth work. Please find below the link.

BDA distributes Rs. 20 crore to 32 land losers.

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) on Wednesday tried out a new experiment of going to the villages where land acquisition for the proposed Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Layout is in progress and handed over the cheques to land losers on the spot.

The BDA had issued final notification to acquire 4,048 acres spread over 12 villages. To speed up the acquisition process, a BDA statement said, a mobile office was set up at Kenchanapura in Bangalore South taluk.

“The documents of the land owners were verified and compensation was issued through cheque,” the statement added.

As many as 32 cheques were distributed to the owners in Kenchanapura, Bheemanakuppe, Pamasandra, Kommaghatta, Kannelli, Sulikere and K. Krishnasagara.

The amount distributed by Commissioner of BDA Pradip Singh Kharola, was over Rs. 20 crore, the statement added.
