Apartment near bommasandra

Post by godisgood »

Hi

Planning to buy apartment close to bommasandra industrial Area near electronic city bangalore. Right now the only source of water is through borewells and BWSSB water may be available only after few years. I like apartment and the price is ok. But I am worried about the ground water since there are industries in the area. Does anybody know if the ground water here is safe? Anybody already living near bommasandra please help me. I need to finalise in 2 weeks so I will be grateful for any help.Thank you

Dude,
Apartments in that area are a risk:
1. Against norms of construction - they don't leave the open spaces as required by law
2. BWSSB has said 'no' to water supply to new apartments till 2012

Why don't you buy a site and construct a house? it will work out cheaper
THanks
Kiran

hi rkirana thanks for your reply .. had given up on getting a reply on this in this forum :-) ... what about plots in this area? I have seen a few layouts also near electronic city bommasandra chandapura etc... but again those layouts also depend on borewell water for everything ... is there any problem with ground water in this area? do u have any idea? i guess borewell water in any area is not fit for drinking ...what is your opinion?

Borewell water is drinkable - I am not sure how you got the idea otherwise. Once you buy a plot, you can get a borewell done. There are folks who ascertain which area within a site is likely to yield water.

When you buy a plot ensure it is DC converted, BBMP plan approved (both the layout plan & a certificate that this land has not been planned for acquisiton). Lastly don't overpay - do due research

hi rkirana thanks for your reply .... your thoughts have really been very helpful to me .. thanks a lot... i was just worried about water as i have heard people staying around electronic city and whitefield etc say that the borewell water is not potable and they buy water from cans ... now i need to give my plans about an apartment a good thought again... :)

I suggest you go for plot + house only.
For borewell & construction, I can suggest a good contractor to you. I built a house around 2 years back
