Minimum expense

Post by amit_pearl2 »

Friends,

I want to know how much would it cost to build a compound wall for 30*40 site. Using cement bricks.

All sides there is wall only one side ( 40 feel length ) i need to construct.

What would be the minimum expense i might expect. Is it legal to ask the neighbour to share the amount?

For fencing a plot of 30x40 roughly will cost 12k - 15k in case of stone and fencing wire (varies with the wire quality ), in case of wall construction if you wanted it to be properly built once for all ,with proper wall foundation, red brick ,plastering etc.... it would cost roughly about 40k - 60k . Prorated to your 40 feet needed - would be between 10 to 15 K.

construction of compound - assume 5 ft. tall brick wall, cost / running ft. rs. 400-600

(these are my collections from search on the web - so cannot swear to the accuracy. and they could be dated - price of materials fluctuate and hence your cost could change accordingly).

about asking the neighbour to share - not a bad idea. but they may ask if you shared with the other neighbours for the 3 sides that are already done!! (just my comment to your question)

Thanks for Furnishing the details.

Here is the quote given by one of local guy, who does small Odd Jobs. 5k for constructing a wall of 42 feet long and 3 feet high. Perofrated Bircks would be used for this.

5 K includes everything... He would be Bringing the bricks, sand, and Cement. NO plastering.

Foundation already is in place......So the wall would be built on the existing foundation...

Is this reasonable?
