Hi Friends,

Chitradurga is one of the Rain Deficit area of Karnataka and Borewell water contains very high level of minerals, not suitable for potable Purpose. In such a place, a spiritual center by name "Ramatheertha Ashrama" took an initiative and implemented Rainwater collection project in two steps of 50,000 liters and 2 Lakhs liter Capacity and now they're using the rainwater for all purpose, as Rain water is one of the purest form of water.

Its a very inspiring story. Visit the below link to know the details.

Excellent.

Urbanites believe in piped water supply (at heavily subsided rates) and free borewell water. For them rain water is non potable and fit only for toilet flushing and gardening.
