Is property bifurcation safe?

Post by gautham »

Hi Guys,
There is is this 60*50 old demolishable house. This is very big for me. The broker says he has arranged another buyer and we can split the property.
Queries.
1. In general, is it safe to buy such properties? Will there be some issues?
2. Is the procedure to bifurcate, very complicated?
3. What will happen to the house number?. Will there be 2 numbers?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gautham,
bIfurcation is a very common practice in land and property registrations . There is nothing to worry as long as property documentation is all clean and clear.
In general after bifurcation of any property you will get x/1 or x/2 as house number , in very rare case you get a new number as all the neighbour properties are numbered already they cannot fit in the new number . Katha number will also follow the similar procedure.
