Hi,
Is there a fool proof way to know whether a BDA approved layout plot shown to you by real estate agents is not in dispute through documents, if yes what are the documents to look for.
I have seen some plots in BDA approved layouts in Bangalore West and have been told that some plots are in litigation, no one says what kind of litigation, but only tell that there is a litigation, the owner says there is no litigation and he has all the documents with him.
How do i ascertain if there is a litigation on the property?
Please let me know your views, it will be of big help.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
omswarup

Get the survey numbers, village, hobli used for the layout formation as mentioned in the BDA approval. Request for endorsement from Assistant commissioner office Bangalore Urban District for pending cases on those survey numbers for last 30 years.
You can look at the ownership of the survey numbers at
http://bhoomi.karnataka.nic.in -> View RTC and search for any cases on those names at
http://causelist.kar.nic.in/caseStatus_ ... strict.asp

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chidu,
When i click on the view RTC/mutation extract link it further takes me to http://www.bhoomi.karnataka.gov.in/Select_District.aspx, when i select Banaglore Urban and hit on submit, it says page may not be available and gives a 404 error.
Is there anyother way of getting this information?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Omswarup,
Based on my discussion with few lawyers, I have heard of one more method or as such a failsafe mechanism by following which you can get the information of any litigations or cases related to Survery number is by Posting a Public Notice advertisement in at least one of the National or State newspaper.
This paper publication might have to be handled with the help of your advocate, i am not a legal person but what i have understood is even if any issues pops up after land purchase then this paper publication would give you some legal advantage. Again please get this confirmed from a Advocate.
