Hi,

I need some suggestion on the problem. There is new construction started
opposite to our house and In their plot they got huge hard rock which they want break. They are using explosive
to break the rocks but without qualified engineer.

When they use small quantity of explosive there is no issue but, some times the workers
when not under supervision they keep high quantity of explosive and blast which tremble our building.

I have already told the owner of the plot to ensure not to happen again but apart from
that is there anything which i can do to stop them doing this. Technically or Legally?

Regards,
Venky

usage of explosives in residential areas where already human habitats are living is illegal. You can go for legal action.

thanks msn. I grouped neighbors and told the owner of the plot to use very less quantity of explosive and it seems to be working.

Usage of explosives in such places is actually banned, and the rock should be removed by manual chiselling. While using 'lesser explosive' is a relative term, please be advised that many times such usage will result in destabilization of your foundation and formation of cracks later on.
You could also ask the contractor to use 'controlled blasting' which will result in lesser pollution and damage.
