hi

can anyone tell me what are the implications of this new rule? what all are covered by this and what all properties are not covered?
will it apply only to b-khata sites? does this mean sites in layouts without any approval from bda will also now become 'legal' ?

refer news article below

Yes, its indeed a good development. I read the news today and contacted my advocate. He told, circular is yet to be issued in BBMP to collect the fees. But they will do it quicky as BBMP is running under loss. So once the circular is issued, we will be in a better position to understand the implications. But one thing... BBMP is ready to collect DC conversion fees & betterment charges even for revenue sites. That means layouts already having DC conersion sites and having A khata for full land will be in better condition...atleast I think so !.But lets wait for couple of more days to get the clear picture.

Thanks,
Jay

I bought one site in choodasandra village behind Amrita collage(HOSA road) years back(2004-05). Later on i came to know that the site and the whole layout is revenue land. But i have a khata, which i am not sure what kind of Khata is that and if it is a valid one. Anybody know, if i can get this land converted for residential purpose under this scheme?

so what will be the use of akrama sakrama then? the only thing that this does not cover is building violations...

I think the number of buildings with violations is quite huge. Almost every house seems to deviate from the sanctioned plan or the BDA/BBMP rules for offsets, built area, number of floors etc. So I am sure if and when Akrama/Sakrama comes through, BBMP will stand to fill its coffers to a fairly large extent.

Is it true that this new ordinance also has to be tabled at the assembly (expected around 20 June), get approved and then also get approved by the governor.
If this is the case then this will find the same fate as the Akrama Sakrama bill. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Well Sakrama too is coming around 20th June for hearing by high court.... I guess, that governor will not oppose it(both sakrama bill and conversion fee bill) if the high court clears it... He is waiting for the clarance from highcourt(atleast as per news papers). Again all these are political games and god only knows when it would happen.
