GST on monthly Flat maintenance Charges > Rs. 5,000

With the implementation of GST since July 1st, it will be 18% by replacing the erstwhile 15.55%, which includes 15% service tax, 0.5% Swachh Bharat cess and 0.05% non-agriculture tax. The change post-GST will lead to an additional burden of 2.5% on residents. its applicable on the monthly flat maintenance charges if its Above Rs. 5,000/Month of the apartments annual corpus exceeds Rs. 20 Lakhs. there is no GST on the Monthly maintenance charges below Rs. 5,000.
