Please help me find a plot

Hi friends

I am thinking of buying a plot to build a house and reside there - not for investment purposes. My budget is about 1700 per sq ft. I need something where I can start construction after 3 years or so.
Will i get a plot for this budget anywhere in Bangalore? All the plots that I have seen are either very far and priced at 600-800 or very much over my budget and are over 2500. Can you please help me by suggesting some localities where I can look for something in this range. Right now I am finding it very difficult to decide which part of bangalore to choose.
My preference would be in order of East South North and lastly West bangalore in that order. Your inputs and suggestions will help me a lot in deciding. Thank you.

BSK 6th or Anjanapura. They may not be livable right now but when they do, they will be on par with other BDA sites in Bangalore

I am also searching a 30x40 site at bsk 6th stage from last 6 months with the budget of 20lakhs. but could not find any decent site in that range. Some sites are available for 1700 range but are in bad location or facing. Also for few of them when i go for finalising either they increase the price or tell me that the deal is already over with someone else. In one of the case the quoted price in the ad was Rs.2000 & when i enquired the owner, he said that it was already sold for Rs 2300/sqft !!
But I heard that many deals were finalised with 1500 to 1700/sqft.
Can anybody help me to find a good 30*40 site of that range in bsk 6th stage?

Thanks plotguy for your reply. This week I will have a look around this area. I am not particular that i want BDA sites only. Anything livable in the next 3-4 years is ok with me. But my budget is maximum of 1800 I request other members also to give their suggestions.

south bangalore i would suggest you for your budget

1) BSK 4th and 5th stage
2) Uttarahalli (Jayanagar co-operative society)
3) Hanumagiri(2000 slightly high but worth near to padmanabhanagar)
4) JP nagar 8th Phase BDA sites
5) Bannergatta road some areas
6)Kanakapura road (doddakallasandra - bank officers colney, konnanakunte)
7) JP nagar 7th Phase (near brigade milli)
8) Hossakerehalli (some area)

there is no particular on the price part. you would need to search for good plots. You should have patience and you will get the good plot at a good price. But i would suggest dont go for agents....search for direct parties

Hello Guys

Thanks so much for your replies. I am planning to visit some of these areas this week, will keep u posted.
Last week i visited a few layouts recommended to me in another forum around Kadugodi-Whitefield area, Electronic City and Bannerghatta road
areas. Hopefully I will find something in one of these places.
One thing I felt was although road and infrastructure wise Electronic city area is pretty much ok, prices are lesser as compared to other
areas. Is this because other areas are under BBMP, BDA or any other reason that I dont know of?

Please keep ur suggestions coming, u guys have been a great help to me.
