Hi, there is a fairly large BDA site (50x 80) located in an old BDA layout in central Blore which I am interested in purchasing together with another relative as the price tag is quite high for one individual. Can someone knowledgeable on this guide if such a site can be bought by 2 people together -can the khatha transfer be done to joint names? Also, will banks give loans
to both the individuals? TIA for your responses.

I think you can. The property will be registered in both names, Khata will be in both names. Banks will give (in fact natl. banks will demand both) loans to both for the property. Of course, either of you will be liable to pay back the loan, in the event of the other not doing so.
