I land in confusion again. Please help.
I thought, All the issues like Betterment charges, Building plan approval etc (mainly for sites newly included under BBMP)
would be solved once Sakrama is announced.
Today i read, Sakrama is not applicable for vecant sites. Please correct me if i am wrong.
there might be Ton's of people who are helpless as the Govt is not collecting betterment charges, hence
Orignal Khata and House plan are not being approved. What would be the state of such people????

Not sure where you read that sakrama is not applicable for vacant sites. Rather the news says that the regularisation fee is same for vacant sites/buildings/layout.

BANGALORE: In the run-up to the upcoming BBMP polls, the Karnataka cabinet on Thursday gave its nod to the long-pending Akrama-Sakrama (regularization of buildings) scheme, which will reduce penalties for building violations by 50%, compared to the rate fixed in 2007.
The cabinet considered the recommendations of the subcommittee headed by transport minister R Ashoka without any change. “Discarding earlier rules which had categorized violations as layout, vacant site and building, this committee has clubbed all the three into one and has fixed the rate concentrating more on building violations,’’ Askoka told reporters. The rule is applicable to the entire state.
If the violations in residential buildings in BBMP limits are within 25%, penalty would be 6% of the guidance value of that particular locality. If violations are more than 25%, penalty would be 8%.
For commercial property, if violations are within 25% in the BBMP limits, fines would be 20% of the guidance value of the area; if violations are more than 25%, fines would be 35% of the guidance value.

Cool Thanks, I read it in today DNA paper. Probably i might have mistaken it.
So once i pay the sakrama fees, can i get building plan sanctioned? Do i again need to pay Betterment charges?
How about the orignal BBMP khata?
