Niki Door Quality

Hi, Can someone comment on quality of the Niki Skin Doors. I heard from one of the carpenter earlier that Niki doors are not of good quality and recommended to go with Jacsons door. Please comment if you had used Niki doors and faced any issues - Speficically as external or bathroom doors. Thx, Vishnu

Impact on GST for construction materials

All, Any thoughts on how the GST is expected to impact the basic construction materials such as cement, steel, bricks etc.

Please share your thoughts. I am interested in how the final price will be after the GST tax compared to what it was before GST.

Thx,
Vishnu

Re: Engineered doors

I had put Kelachandra doors at my house. Finishing is top notch. Its been 1.5 years now and the doors are pretty durable.
Kelachandra doors are pretty expensive though. They are located at Bannergettha road.

I have heard that Jackson doors are also good. personally i didn't like Nikki doors

Re: Granite or vitrified

If you can afford granite go for it, But you need to get good quality. Advantage with granite is that its durable for a long time and also you can lay huge pieces unlike tiles. Finishing would look great. You need to make sure granite doesn't have any cracks before before buying, someone who has wor...

Re: Solar UPS

Hi Praveen, Your suggestion is excellent to sell the power to Bescom and tap in to the grid. This way one can use the power generated in the day to be used in night without having to store it. I am wondering if there is a specific limit on how much solar cells (Wattage) needs to be installed before ...

Re: Pls review my plan

Comment on the stilt Parking. By keeping the car parking upfront, can't you save the space in the drive way? Each cars would need 16'(D)X9' (W). 9X5 = 45' space required. 5' for the bike to enter or space to walk and building can be kept at the back. Cars are easily accessible with this approach. On...

Re: Is terrace waterproofing needed?

Please make sure you do the following:

-> Water proofing in the terrace must be done
-> Also make sure that you put tiles and water proof grouting between the tiles
-> Proper grading so that water flow out through pipes and doesn't stagnate
