Re: Parking Tiles or Concrete

I would definitely not go with tiles for the reasons already mentioned above. I went in for a mix of concrete and stone and the rest is natural earth where I have some green lawn. One can arrange stones in the path of a 4 wheeler tire and make the surrounding spaces with lawn. This might become wet ...

Re: Acid wash and its side effects

Hi Harish I do not have any contact info but guess there are solutions or powders available to wipe off these stains. I had a SS railing for my glass balcony which got stained due to these fumes and I contacted the guy who installed it. He came and repolished it and it looks as good as new now. Not ...

Acid wash and its side effects

Hi Many of us get the our bathroom tiles and tiles in other places cleaned in the final stages of construction. Please make note that though the tiles get cleaned the acid "fumes" cause damage to stainless steel rods, taps or hinges. Take precautionary care to cover all your stainless steel parts du...

Borewell Failure- Revival procedures

Recently got a borewell dug for 550ft and it was a failure. Had got the point noted from 2 Geologist's (Diviner) and both has suggested water from around 350 ft which is infact the case with borewells in and around my home. People have got water at around 350ft and have gone on and dug till 550-600f...

Re: Ceiling electrical point misaligned

That's just crappy work by your electrician and cutting the newly laid roof is not advisable I guess. More often than not there are no skilled 'experts' to do such jobs and its just a layman without experience who's asked to do such jobs by the mesthri or the contractor. This ends up messing up an i...

Re: Pergola glass roof for car parking

Depends on the place and requirement. If one wants light to pass through and handle a bit of weight then toughened glass is good as a pergola cover. Else you can cover it with polycarbonate sheets of different colors or even get a iron sheet welded. But yes, dirt on the glass roof looks ugly and one...

Re: Solar powered homes from BORG

I too had enquired about BORG a few weeks back being an environment friendly citizen and felt it's nothing more than a "solar inverter". If cost and space permits a whole grid can be set up and electricity sold inturn, but for a aam aadmi running basic electricals daily a 15-20K inverter/battery wou...
